Since a user can block session cookies, first-party cookies and third-party cookies in general or in relation to individual websites via their browser settings and can activate, block or delete them in individual cases after visiting a website, the operator does not -Existence of such a blockage based on consent to the creation and storage of cookies. The operator uses “cookies” (small data packages with configuration information) to improve the product range, to recognize user preferences and to operate the website optimally. Cookies can also be used for intermediate storage so that user actions and inputs are not lost if the connection to the server is lost (for example in cellular networks). 3.1 General

Cookies are saved as text files on the hard drive of your device and session cookies in the main memory of your device. A cookie is either sent from the web server to the browser or generated by a script (e.g. JavaScript) in the website. A randomly generated unique identification number, a so-called session ID, is stored in a session cookie. A cookie also contains information about its origin and the storage period. Session cookies cannot store any other information. The data stored in cookies via this website do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the identity of the user and are therefore not personal. Most of the cookies used by tanzraum-berlin.de are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted after the end of your browser session. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them or the expiry date is reached. These permanent cookies enable tanzraum-berlin.de to recognize your browser the next time you visit. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted if session cookies are affected.

3.2 Set and configure cookies

Cookies can be managed with most Internet browsers and controlled with Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge and Opera, for example. The saving of cookies can be deactivated in the browser settings. In this way, the visitor decides whether, for example, a cookie may be downloaded or whether it has to be deleted before the lifespan desired by the web server. Since cookies are ordinary text files, they can be viewed with most text editors or word processing programs. You can click on a cookie to open it. Below is a list of links to view cookies in various browsers. If you use a different browser, read the cookie information from that browser. If you are using a mobile phone, see the manual that came with the phone for more information.

You can also adjust the settings so that your browser rejects all cookies or only those from third-party providers. You can also remove all cookies that have already been saved. Please note that you have to adjust the settings separately for each browser and each device you use. Common browsers allow the user to determine how cookies are to be used, e.g. B. 1. Do not accept cookies. 2. Only accept cookies from the server of the page called up (no cookies from third-party servers as with advertising banners). 3. Ask the user for each cookie. Here you can usually choose between “allow” (remains), “allow for this session” (is always accepted, but deleted after closing the browser) and “reject” (do not accept), whereby the selected option is saved. 4. Delete all cookies when you close the browser (“session cookie”). For this purpose, the browser allows administrative actions such as: View data in the cookie or delete individual or all cookies. Some functions of the website can be deactivated, while certain parts of this website may not be visible at all. In addition, refusing cookies does not mean that you will no longer receive advertisements on other websites on the Internet. Each browser uses a different method of applying the settings. If necessary, use the help function of your browser to make the correct settings. If you want to disable cookies on your mobile phone, please refer to the manual of the phone for more information.

3.3 Cookies that are used

In the following explanation you can find out which cookies are created and stored by this website and what their purpose is. Three goals are pursued: data protection, user friendliness and the further development of the website are to be ensured in the best possible way. Different types of cookies are used for different purposes. Below you will find a list of the cookies used and their purpose.

Session cookies

A session cookie is temporarily stored in the memory of your device while you are surfing this website. The session cookie contains a session ID and is automatically deleted when the browser is closed.

Example of a session cookie

Surname

Sample content

Expiry Date

PHPSESSID

662239a13eb4daefb6db628e083b618c

When ending the browser session

The sequence of numbers stored in the session cookie cannot be assigned to a specific person and is therefore anonymous. The session ID is generated by the server at the beginning of a session and either stored in a cookie by the user or transmitted in the URL. A request that does not contain the session ID is regarded as the first request of a new session. The purpose of a session ID is to recognize several related requests from a user and to assign them to a session. Session cookies are technically essential, as information that is displayed session-specific and user-specific, is otherwise shown to a wrong or no user.
